Since the show was shutting down Palo Alto Airport for several hours, keeping us from our normal business, the show organizers were kind enough to offer (with a bit of prodding from the airport association) some booth space at the show. Here's WVFC's Sunday crew (at least part of them) in front of historic Hangar 1.

The big biplane "ShowCat" was one of the first acts. Here it is performing a loop. It was a spectacular day.

Wouldn't you know some goofball would show up in the middle of things to mess it up. This guy can't even keep his plane together (look carefully).

This looks like a fun series of snap rolls!

Ah, the big draw. The USAF Thunderbirds!

The crowd enjoys the "Dirty Pass".

"Hey, get outta the fast lane!" 4 going about 120, 1 going about 500. See the blur?

I guess that "sonic enema" (as my friend Scott calls it) was cool enough to get out the air guitar.

My favorite picture. I caught 3 of the 4 on the 4-way pass. Can you tell which one I was tracking?

Enjoying the show. Take a close look at those sunglasses!

Ah, here's what she was seeing!

I feel the need.. the need for SPEED!

There's nothing like the sound of big Merlin turning 4 blades on a P-51, but you'll have to make due with the picture!

The World War II era P-51 in formation with the F-15.
